Hard work is paying off!

What a term we have had so far. Mrs. Thomson’s class enjoyed a trip to the Walker Activity Dome to take part in a Multi-skills day. The children attempted many different activities including soft play in an attempt to improve their co-ordination skills.

The real highlight of this term so far has been the excellent results produced by our Athletics teams in the Inter-Trust competition. The trials that were held by Mr Wilson were highly competitive with 6 boys and 6 girls winning through to race for each of the Year5/6 (U11) teams and the Year 3/4 (U9) teams.

On the day of the event 42 competitors raced in each event, from 7 different schools. The teams produced some fantastic results.

Girls U9’s Gold Medal position

Boys U9’s Gold Medal position

Girls U11’s Silver medal position

Boys U11’s Bronze medal position

Special mentions go to Frances Elliott, who although in Year 3, won the U9 race narrowly beating Neve Scott from Year 4 with Simbiat Aremu just missing out on making it a Kingston Park 1,2,3 by finishing in 4th place.

In the boys race, Jack Portlock won Gold being chased home by Edward Cave who finished in 2nd place with Will Simmonds narrowly missing out on making it a 1,2,3 by finishing 4th

Well done everyone and keep on running.
